Bees secure 3–0 win over Indiana South Bend

St. Ambrose women's soccer team put together a great offensive and defensive performance Saturday afternoon, earning a 3–0 victory over Indiana University South Bend in Lakeville, Indiana.

The Bees struck early in the first half, as Olivia Infante finished the put back off of a free kick from Addie Kerkhoff in the 8th minute to give St. Ambrose the lead. The team extended their advantage just before halftime when Jenna Horst scored in the 44th minute, heading into half with a 2–0 lead.

St. Ambrose continued to dominate in the second half, controlling possession and creating scoring opportunities. In the 76th minute, Mia Vetter scored a header off of a corner kick from Isabella Crawford, securing the 3–0 win.

The Bees outshot the Titans 27–10 and held a 6–1 advantage in corner kicks. Horst led the Bees with seven shots and Crawford trailed with six. Mia Hefner added four shots, and Chloe Travis and Olivia Infante trailed with three. Sophia Roszkowski, Jade Rubalcava, Kerkhoff, and Vetter all tallied one shot.

Jonna Tucker recorded five saves to capture a clean sheet.

Next up, the Bees are back at home Tuesday, October 21st, to take on the visiting Trinity Christian Trolls at St. Vincent's Athletic Complex in Davenport, Iowa, at 6:00 p.m.
