NAIA and CCAC announce academic honors for fall sports

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) each announced academic awards for fall sports.

The NAIA released the 2025 Scholar-Athlete list. St. Ambrose had 51 student-athletes named Scholar-Athletes. The group included men's cross country (four), women's cross country (six), football (10), men's soccer (10), women's soccer (15) and women's volleyball (six).

To qualify as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport, and have attended their institution for at least one full year.

The CCAC named a total of 53 Bees to its all-academic teams. St. Ambrose led the conference with seven men's conference selections and was second in the league in both women's soccer (19) and women's volleyball (nine). Six women's cross country student-athletes and 12 men's soccer players were also honored.

To be nominated for the conference award, a student-athlete must have been enrolled at his respective CCAC school for a minimum of one academic year, have completed at least 30 semester hours and boast no less than a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.

Below are the St. Ambrose student-athletes named NAIA Scholar-Athletes and/or to the CCAC all-academic team. The Heart of America Conference all-academic selections for football will be announced in the spring.
