Brunson earns CCAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after breakout week

CCAC Release

Six points from St. Ambrose University's Kaitlyn Brunson (Marion, Iowa) earned her the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Women's Soccer Player of the Week accolade, the league office announced on Tuesday morning.

Brunson had a breakout game in a 4-0 victory over Holy Cross College on Saturday as part of a two-goal, two-assist week. The senior midfielder authored two goals and one assist in that league affair after providing an assist in a 3-1 decision over Indiana University Northwest on Wednesday.

The two assists kept her tied for the league lead with five, while her six goals rank her tied for the No. 7 spot in the CCAC.

The two wins moved the Fighting Bees over the .500 mark on the season (6-5-2) and 4-2 in league matchups.
