Brown and Taaffe receive All-Conference honors
Two Bees earned All-Conference honors in the Heart of America Athletic Conference for the 2024-25 season. The league announced that Anabelle Brown and Abby Taaffe earned first-team honors.
Anabelle Brown has been named first-team attack. The senior from El Dorado Hills, Calif. scored 33 goals, had 14 assists, and 42 draw controls in conference play this season. Brown surpassed both program records for career point and career goals this season. She had a season high of 6 goals and 9 points in a win over Midland on March 9. The senior finished the regular season with 70 points, 46 goals, 24 assists, and 69 draw controls. She will graduate with a degree in Biology.
Abby Taaffe has been named first-team defense. The graduate student from Sammamish, Wash. led the team in ground balls and caused turnovers at 49 and 23 respectively. She had a season high of 7 ground balls against Missouri Valley on April 9. Additionally, Brown scored three goals and earned 3 points on the year. She will graduate with a degree in Criminal Justice.
