St. Ambrose takes fourth at CCAC Championships

St. Ambrose finished in fourth place at the CCAC Women's Golf Championships played at University Park Golf Course in University Park, Ill., Monday and Tuesday.

The Bees shot rounds of 350 and 385 to finish with a 735.

Olivet Nazarene ended SAU's two-year reign as conference champions with a 667 (330-337). Judson (337-338=675) finished second and Holy Cross (343-362=705) took third in the six-team event.

Gabrielle Langlois led St. Ambrose. She opened with an 88 before finishing with a 91 for a 179 total. That was good for 10th place overall.

Addy Heineke had the Bees' low round of the tournament with her first-round 85. A second-day 98 left her with a 183 total.

Aleanna Mendoza matched Langlois with an 88 Monday. She closed with a 97 for her 185. Lauren Callison shot rounds of 89 and 99 for a 188. Anna Hurning had an opening-round 90 and Ellie Rude played the second round and shot a 101.

Tavia Dowell was also there as an alternate.

Judson's Isabell Burnett was tournament medalist. She shot a 155 (74-81).

The Bees will close the season at the Augustana Viking Invitational Apr. 25-26 at Highland Springs in Rock Island, Ill.
