Bees finish fifth at Duhawk Fall Invitational
St. Ambrose continued a busy start to its 2025-26 season by placing fifth at the Duhawk Fall Invitational hosted by Loras at the Meadows in Asbury, Iowa, Sunday and Monday.
Anna Hurning and Gabrielle Langlois led the Bees, tying for 13th place overall.
The two shot matching scores each day. They each opened with an 89 before closing with an 87 for 176s.
Addy Heineke also made a two-shot improvement on the second day. She fired a 92 Sunday before carding a 90 Monday for a 182, good for 25th place.
Aleanna Mendoza shot rounds of 91 and 95 for her 186, and Tavia Dowell was the final Bee, shooting a 203 (104-99).
SAU finished fifth with a 720 (361-359). Clarke won the tournament with a 652 (332-320).
The Bees will next compete in the Clarke Fall Invite at the Eagle Ridge South Course in Galena, Ill., Sept. 29-30.
