Erdrich named to NFCA All-Region Team

NFCA All-Region Awards

Shai Erdrich was named to the all-region team as the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced its all-region awards. The St. Ambrose center fielder was selected to the Region 5 second team.

The NFCA honors student-athletes from the Association's six NAIA regions with selection to one of two teams. NFCA-member head coaches nominate and then vote for the winners in their respective region.

Erdrich, a grad student from Aurora, Ill., had another record-breaking season for the Bees in 2026. She broke her own single-season school record for stolen bases with 80, topping her previous mark of 51 set during the 2024 campaign. That gave her 227 stolen bases in her Bee career, which are 98 more than any other player in program history. Her 80 steals remain the second-most in the NAIA this season. Erdrich swiped at least one base in 36 games this season and had multiple steals in 26 contests.

The leadoff hitter batted .364 with a team-leading 56 hits. She had 17 multi-hit games, including a 5-for-5 game against Mount Mary and a 4-for-4 day against Indiana South Bend. Erdrich scored a team-best 55 runs to set a program record with 182 career runs scored.

Erdrich earned the all-region honor after being selected first team all-CCAC for the third time.
