Bos named CCAC Attacker of the Week
CHICAGO --- St. Ambrose University's Michael Bos (Chicago, Ill.) claimed his first Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Volleyball Player of the Week award of the season when the league office made the announcement on Tuesday afternoon.
Bos hit at a .553 clip and averaged 2.82 kills per set to collect CCAC Attacker of the Week recognition. He also totaled five blocks over his three matches played.
The sophomore middle hitter never hit less than .500 in any of the three matches, topped by his .643 reading in a four-set league win over Trinity Christian College last Wednesday. In that match, he produced 11 kills with only two errors in 14 chances.
Bos also had 14 kills and three blocks in a five-set conference win over Viterbo last Monday.
The two wins in three matches on the week put St. Ambrose at 9-8 overall and 2-0 in CCAC play.
