Bees fall to No. 10 Saints in CCAC semifinals

St. Ambrose had its season come to an end Thursday at the hands of No. 10 Holy Cross in the semifinal round of the CCAC Tournament. The Saints defeated the Bees 4-0.

SAU dropped all three doubles matches to the nationally-ranked Saints.

Holy Cross, which improved to 11-2 in duals this year, also swept the six singles matches.

Sebastian Arevalo Piraquive (No. 1), Austin Hutton (No. 5) and Cade Timmons (No. 6) fell in straight sets for St. Ambrose. Gabriel Guimaray (No. 2), Miguel Sampaio (No. 3) and Jaime Febres (No. 4) each dropped the first set before play ended as the Saints clinched the win.

The Bees finished the year 9-10 overall.
