Ferbeyre earns CCAC Offensive Player of the Week honors
Four points from St. Ambrose University's Luiz Ferbeyre earned him the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Men's Soccer Player of the Week accolade, the league office announced on Tuesday morning.
Ferbeyre was a big reason for St. Ambrose's success in a 4-3 victory over Hannibal-LaGrange University. The freshman forward not only provided the game-winning goal in the match, but also added assists on two of the team's three other goals.
The contest was the only one of the week for the Fighting Bees, who are now 7-1 on the year.
Ferbeyre is tied for fourth in the conference with two assists. He is also tied for seventh in goals and points with three and eight, respectively.
