McDermott named Heart Defensive Player of the Week
Three interceptions and a team-best six tackles in a win at Culver-Stockton Saturday allowed Caden McDermott to be named the Heart of America Defensive Player of the Week today.
The redshirt-sophomore's three picks were one off a school record and the most be a Bee in a game since Colin Green also intercepted three passes in a 2008 game at Quincy.
McDermott and the Bee defense forced four turnovers in the 47-14 win, the team's second straight victory.
