SAU wins more National Championships at College Classic
The SAU Cheer and Dance Teams came away with several more National Championships while competing at the College Classic in Orlando, Fla.
The Dance Team, fresh off winning its fifth NAIA Competitive Dance National Championship, took first place in NAIA Team and NAIA Pom at the College Classic. St. Ambrose also finished second in the NAIA Hip Hop division.
The SAU Cheer Team, which narrowly missed out on its fourth straight NAIA National Title, won the Large Co-Ed championship and the Pyramid Battle while in Florida.
Taye Owten was crowned the Tumble Rumble Champion. Savannah Schumacher, Mikal Honeycutt, Alanna Lang and RJ Woods took first in Co-Ed Group Stunt, while teammates Amira Glenn, JP Elder, Graysen Gerlinger and Haley Scholbrock placed second. Jesse Lopez and Schumacher teamed to finish second in Partner Stunt.
