Name: Kylee Claypool

Sport: Softball

Year in School: Junior

Major: Nursing

Reason for Nomination: 

Kylee always competes to the best of her ability, balancing the pressures of being in the SAU nursing program, being our starting catcher, and her personal life. Kylee is always a positive and vocal leader on the team and, as a member of the 2025 CCAC All Conference team, continues to excel in the middle of our lineup!

What is your favorite moment of the season so far?

My favorite moment of the season was our team dinner in Alabama, when Becca Haag nailed Coach Kelly in the face with a bread roll.

What is your favorite post-match/game/meet meal? 

Chick-Fil-A

Favorite pre-game/meet/match song?

Who inspired you to begin playing this sport? 

My Mom 

If you could play another sport, what would it be? 

Swimming 

What is one fun fact about you?

I was recruited as an outfielder, but now I am the starting catcher.

Name: Zach Priami

Sport: Men's Lacrosse

Year in School: Junior

Major: Business Administration/Management

Reason for Nomination: 

Zach has been a Captain for the team this year and has displayed great leadership and drive. He pushes the team for success, and is one of our top performers day in and day out. He performs well in the classroom as well. He is a great representation of what it means to be a St. Ambrose Fighting Bee. 

What is your favorite moment of the season so far?

My favorite moment of the season so far was the bus ride back after beating Siena Heights.

What is your favorite post-match/game/meet meal? 

My go-to post-game meal is 4 McChickens with a large Dr. Pepper.

Favorite pre-game/meet/match song?

No Broke Boys - Disco Lines 

Who inspired you to begin playing this sport? 

I wanted to pick up a sport in the spring and I fell in love with lacrosse.

If you could play another sport, what would it be? 

I do play another sport, I am on the golf team aswell.

What is one fun fact about you?

I can solve a rubik's cube in 45 seconds

Name: Shea Denahy

Sport: Dance

Year in School: Junior

Major: Human Performance and Fitness

Reason for Nomination: 

Shea has been part of the team for three years now. She is determined to be her best, and to push her teammates to be their best as well. She helps with the team's social media and behind-the-scenes work. She also excels in the classroom. She strives for greatness and without her, the Dance team would not be who they are today!

What is your favorite moment of the season so far?

Getting back our scores at our Grand View competition and finding out that we receive record breaking scores.

What is your favorite post-match/game/meet meal? 

Chipotle

Favorite pre-game/meet/match song?

Flex up (team go to)

Who inspired you to begin playing this sport? 

I was placed in dance at a young age, but all of the older girls at my studio inspired me to keep going and fall in love with it. 

If you could play another sport, what would it be? 

Track, I enjoy running when I am in the off-season.

What is one fun fact about you?

I help run the Dance Team's Social Media.

Name: Savannah Schumacher

Sport: Cheer

Year in School: Senior (First Year of Doctoral School)

Major: Human Performance and Fitness/ Occupational Therapy

Reason for Nomination: 

Savannah is a captain on the team! She has continuously been a great leader for her peers. She shows up to practice on time ready to work. She is very successful on the mat and in the classroom. She has competed in all 7 of our in season competitions. She received All conference athlete first team and all scholar athlete at conference. She is heading to nationals next week with our team which is our 9th appearances at Nationals.

What is your favorite moment of the season so far?

It's hard to pick a favorite. Honestly this season has been so full of bittersweet moments. Each time competing with the team, every practice, traveling, and making history one last season is something I'll never forget! Getting first team all conference and scholar athlete was pretty cool too;)

What is your favorite post-match/game/meet meal? 

Grilled nuggets and fries with CFA + Polynesian sauce from Chick-fil-A!

Who inspired you to begin playing this sport? 

Ever since I was 4 years old I was flipping off the furniture every chance I got. My parents put me in tumbling classes and when I got to middle school I was encouraged by some friends and coaches to try out for the cheerleading team. I am so grateful that my parents started me at a young age and I eventually found cheerleading! My teammates have kept me going all these years, not only on the mat but outside of my sport as well.

If you could play another sport, what would it be? 

Dance or Soccer

What is one fun fact about you?

I was never a flyer in cheer till I came to Ambrose!
