Three SAU Esports teams qualify for Nationals
Three of the SAU Esports teams have qualified for Nationals for the National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC).
The St. Ambrose Varsity Super Smash Bros., Overwatch and Rainbow 6 Siege teams all qualified for Nationals.
The Overwatch and Rainbow 6 Siege teams have reached the quarterfinals and finals, respectively.
The Rainbow 6 Siege team opened with a 2-1 victory over Robert Morris then defeated Kansas State JV 2-0. The Bees will face Texas Tech Esports Red Wednesday at 7 p.m. in a battle of the two remaining unbeatens.
In Overwatch, St. Ambrose defeated Marist Red 3-0 in the first round. The Bees will take on UTEP Varsity Friday at 5 p.m., and with a win, SAU would play again at 7 p.m.
The SAU Super Smash Bros. team lost in the opening round to Oklahoma City CC last week.
